Sayyid al-Istighfar — the Best Dua for Forgiveness —

Meaning: “O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and Your promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favour upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.”

The Prophet ﷺ called this the most superior way of asking Allah for forgiveness, and said: whoever says it with certainty in the daytime and dies that day will be among the people of Paradise, and whoever says it with certainty in the evening and dies that night will be among the people of Paradise.
