Please note: narrations graded da'if (weak) on Dorar.net, so they are not included above
  • Hasbiyallahu la ilaha illa huwa, 'alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa Rabbul-'Arshil-'Azim (7 times): Da'if. Al-Albani graded it munkar (as-Silsilah ad-Da'ifah 5286) and da'if mawquf (Da'if at-Targhib 382). Ibn Baz graded the report from Abu ad-Darda (mawquf) as having a good isnad, so it should not be presented as a sahih hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
  • Allahumma inni asbahtu ushhiduka (4 times): Da'if (Al-Albani, Da'if Abi Dawud 5078 and Da'if at-Targhib 383).
  • The last three verses of Surah al-Hashr, 3 times in the morning: Da'if (Al-Albani, Da'if at-Tirmidhi 2922 and Da'if al-Jami' 5732). Reciting the Qur'an is always rewarded, but the specific virtue in that report is not established.
An easy morning routineAfter Fajr, recite Ayat al-Kursi and the Three Quls, then the morning duas in order, and finish with the tasbih and istighfar counts. If that is too much at first, begin with Ayat al-Kursi, the Three Quls, Sayyid al-Istighfar, Bismillahilladhi la yadurru (3 times), Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi (100 times) and the Fajr duas, then add the rest slowly. Keep to the counts exactly as narrated; where no number is reported, do not treat any number as fixed Sunnah. Gradings shown are from Dorar.net.
