Chapter 2 What a man should say when he puts on a new garment
باب مَا يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا لَبِسَ ثَوْبًا جَدِيدًا
Sunan Ibn Majah 3558

It was
narrated from Ibn `Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw
`Umar
wearing a white shirt and he said: “Is this garment of yours
washed
or a new one?” He said: “Rather it has been washed.” He said:
“Ilbas jadida, wa `ish hamida, wa mut shahida (May you wear new
clothes, live a good life and die as martyr).”
