Chapter 68 One Who Gives Charity In Secret
باب الْمُسِرِّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2561
It was narrated from ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“The one who recites the Qur’an loudly is like one who gives charity openly, and the one who recites the Qur’an quietly is like one who gives charity in secret.”
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ” الْجَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْجَاهِرِ بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَالْمُسِرُّ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْمُسِرِّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ ” .
