Sahih Muslim 176 b
Book 1: The Book of Faith
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas that the words:” The heart belied not what he saw” (al-Qur’an, Iiii. 11) and” Certainly he saw Him in another descent” (al-Qur’an, Iiii. 13) imply that he saw him twice with his heart.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ جَمِيعًا عَنْ وَكِيعٍ، – قَالَ الأَشَجُّ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، – حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ أَبِي جَهْمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ [quran sura=”53″ aya_start=”11″ aya_end=”11″]{ مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَى} [quran sura=”53″ aya_start=”13″ aya_end=”13″]{ وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَى} قَالَ رَآهُ بِفُؤَادِهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ .
