Book 65: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur'an (Tafseer of the Prophet (pbuh))
Narrated `Amr:
Ibn `Abbas recited:– “No doubt! They fold up their breasts in order to hide from Him. Surely! Even
when they cover themselves with their garments..” (11.5)
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو، قَالَ قَرَأَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ [quran sura=”11″ aya_start=”5″ aya_end=”5″]{أَلاَ إِنَّهُمْ يَثْنُونَ صُدُورَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوا مِنْهُ أَلاَ حِينَ يَسْتَغْشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ} وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {يَسْتَغْشُونَ} يُغَطُّونَ رُءُوسَهُمْ [quran sura=”11″ aya_start=”77″ aya_end=”77″]{سِيءَ بِهِمْ} سَاءَ ظَنُّهُ بِقَوْمِهِ. [quran sura=”11″ aya_start=”77″ aya_end=”77″]{وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ} بِأَضْيَافِهِ [quran sura=”11″ aya_start=”81″ aya_end=”81″]{بِقِطْعٍ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ} بِسَوَادٍ. وَقَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ {أُنِيبُ} أَرْجِعُ.
