Dua Upon Returning from Travel
Allāhu Akbar, Allāhu Akbar, Allāhu Akbar. Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamd, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr. Āyibūna, tā’ibūna, ʿābidūna, li-rabbinā ḥāmidūn. Ṣadaqallāhu waʿdah, wa naṣara ʿabdah, wa hazamal-aḥzāba waḥdah.
It means: “Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is no deity except Allah alone, without any partner. To Him belongs the dominion and all praise, and He has power over everything. We return, repentant, worshipping our Lord and praising Him. Allah fulfilled His promise, helped His servant, and alone defeated the confederates.”
🕒 When to say it: Say it when returning from travel, especially when ascending an elevated place. The Prophet ﷺ used to say this when returning from a campaign, Hajj, or ʿUmrah
