Visiting a friend for the sake of Allah

A man visited a brother of his in another town, and Allah sent an angel to intercept him on the way, who told him Allah loved him because he loved his brother for His sake.

Explanation

This hadith shows that visiting a friend purely out of love for Allah is itself a means of earning Allah's love.
