Raising the hands in supplication

The Prophet (SAW) said: "Your Lord is Shy and Generous; He is shy to turn back His servant's hands empty when he raises them to Him."

Reference: Sunan Abi Dawud and Jami' al-Tirmidhi, graded Hasan, on the authority of Salman al-Farisi (RA)

Explanation

This physical gesture of raised hands reflects both humility and confident hope in Allah's generosity.
